
The PLANET Academic Excellence Foundation (PLANET AEF) awarded students at its 38th annual PLANET Student Career Days.

The Foundation presented scholarship and awards at the National Collegiate Landscape Competition, which was held at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.
A total of 47 scholarships were presented at a reception, which kicked off the event on March 20.
The PLANET AEF President’s Scholarship, in the amount of $3,000, was awarded to Jamie Helbig from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. The PLANET AEF judging panel awards the President’s Scholarship. The panel looks for a student who demonstrates all the criteria set forth by the PLANET AEF Board of Directors and who has high scholastic achievements, industry-related activities and community service.
In 2014, PLANET AEF has given a total of $79,300 in awards and scholarships.
At the closing ceremony, the Foundation also awarded the three, top-scoring Student Career Days students, referred to as the event’s Superstars, a total of $3,000:
