Honda Power Equipment has entered into an agreement with Quarter Midgets of America (QMA) to help support racing for children between 5 and 17 years old.
Honda Generators, Honda Engines and Honda Performance Development (HPD) are working together to assist QMA in its efforts to make racing a reality for young racers, and have been doing so since 1995.
During this season of QMA racing, Honda Engines will be the Title Engine of the QMA Eastern Grand Nationals, Honda Performance Development will be the title sponsor of the QMA Western Grand Nationals, and Honda Generators will be the Title Generator of the QMA Dirt Nationals.
At the Grand Nationals, Honda Generators will be the exclusive generator of the race, providing power to meet the needs of the QMA.
The upcoming racing season is meaningful for the Honda relationship with QMA on two fronts: Honda GX120 and GX160 engines are used in quarter midget racers, and this year marks introduction of the Honda sponsored “Speed King” Trophy in victory circle.
This trophy has been created to honor Dave King, a Honda Engines associate who dedicated almost 20 years of his career to support QMA activities until his passing in 2012. It will be awarded to every Grands A main class winner.
