More than 80 volunteers from John Deere, Finch Services, the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET), OPEI, National Hispanic Landscape Alliance and the Irrigation Association volunteered more than 250 hours of labor to maintain the areas around the National Mall.
The event was hosted by the Trust for the National Mall and counted on the volunteers to improve the space north of the Lincoln Monument Reflecting Pool.
The group worked to refine the landform, soils, plant materials, water flows and paving at the National Mall’s Constitution Gardens.
