Designed to meet a variety of needs on the jobsite, Ditch Witch unveiled the SK850 mini skid steer.
The skid steer is on display for the first time at GIE+EXPO at Ditch Witch’s booth.
The SK850 is equipped with a 37 horsepower, Tier 4 Yanmar diesel engine and features a variety of attachments.
The mini skid steer features a 74 square-inch platform, and the operator’s station has been updated to meet comfort and efficiency standards.
The dual-lever ground drive controls come standard, with an optional single-lever joystick available.
An auxiliary control foot pedal helps operators maintain hydraulic flow to the attachment while freeing hands to control depth and ground speed.
The high-drive tack system has bolt-on sprockets that can be interchanged. Additionally, the track system also has low-maintenance track-tensioning system with a grease cylinder for adjustment and track removal.
The SK850 comes with the customer’s choice of 42-inch (107-cm) or 36-inch (91-cm) wide tracks.
With an 860-pound operating capacity and the 83-inch hinge-pint height, the SKI850 is made with reinforced steel.
Another standard feature is the auto-throttle function. When enabled, the auto-throttle automatically reduces engine RPMs when hydraulic functions are not in use. The engine returns to the operator-set engine RPM when any hydraulic function is engaged.
