The Toro Company has officially completed the acquisition of the Boss professional snow and ice management business for approximately $227 million, subject to post-closing adjustments.

The signing of the definitive purchase agreement for the acquisition was originally announced back in October.
Boss is based in Michigan and produces and sells snowplows, salt and sand spreaders, as well as related parts and accessories for light- and medium-duty trucks, ATVs, UTVs and loaders.
Boss sales are expected to be approximately $125 million in 2014.
