PLANET Academic Excellence Foundation receives multiple $25,000 scholarship donations

The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) Academic Excellence Foundation gained several new ambassadors. The landscaping organizations who pledged will contribute $25,000 towards landscape contractor or horticulture scholarship programs at two- and four-year colleges. The program has awarded 864 scholarships so far.

The new ambassadors are:

• Designs by Sundown – Mike Hommel, Englewood, Colorado
• Fochtman Family Trust – Tom Fochtman, Arvada, Colorado
• Heads Up Landscape Contractors – Gary Mallory, Albuquerque, New Mexico
• Precision Landscape – Bruce Birdsong, Dallas, Texas

Jesus “Chuy” Medrano of CoCal Landscape in Denver, Colorado and Ed Snyder of Greenleaf Services, Inc. in Linville, North Carolina are platinum ambassadors for pledging an additional $25,000.
