JCB donates backhoes, generators to Nepal earthquake relief efforts

JCB has donated approximately $1 million in equipment to aid relief efforts in Nepal. Through Nepal-based dealer MAW Enterprises Pvt Ltd, JCB has supplied the Nepalese Army 10 backhoe loaders for work in the areas hit hardest by the earthquake, which has left more than 5,000 people dead and 10,000 injured.

The company is also donating electrical power generators for the relief effort. The generators are en route from JCB’s Delhi, India, factory to help stricken communities recover from the earthquake, which measured 7.8 on the Richter Scale.
