Meade Tractor, a family owned company based in Bristol, Tennessee, has acquired eight John Deere Construction and Forestry branches from Nortrax. The purchase included locations in Bowling Green, Louisville, London and Richmond, Kentucky; as well as Chattanooga, Kingsport, Knoxville and Nashville, Tennessee.
Prior to the purchase from Nortrax, Meade operated seven John Deere Agriculture and Turf dealerships throughout the region. The newly acquired operations will be known as Meade Construction.
Chuck D. Meade III, president of the company, said in a news release that the growth of Meade Tractor is “a direct result of our employee engagement and their dedication to delivering exemplary customer support. We look forward to welcoming the Construction and Forestry branches into the Meade Tractor family.”
Meade said the acquisition will further strengthen the company and offer increased career opportunities for employees. The combined company will operate 15 locations across five states.
Nortrax is a John Deere Construction and Forestry equipment dealer based in Tampa, Florida, with branches throughout eastern and central regions of the United States and in Canada.
