John Deere announced this week it will not extend its current commercial mower design and manufacturing arrangement with Wright Manufacturing beyond May 2016. The alliance began in August 2012, enabling Deere to bring industry-leading technology and designs to the market and allowing Wright Manufacturing to enhance its manufacturing and quality processes.

Deere said it remains firmly committed to the professional landscape equipment business and will continue to develop its product line independently.

Wright Manufacturing has been a leader in the development and manufacture of stand-on mowers, with the first Wright “Stander” rolling off the assembly line in 1997.
