If your company routinely installs flower gardens or other bedded plants, here’s an accessory you may want to check out: The maker of the new Compost Wizard Windsor says it represents “the next wave of composting technology.”

Composting is a great way to recycle food and yard scraps into a nutrient-packed soil. And Good Ideas, maker of the Windsor, says it will produce compost three times faster than traditional bins.

The Windsor’s “RotoLock” technology works much like a ratchet, restricting rotation of the bin to one direction. The 50-gallon bin, mounted on a mobile stand, locks into four different positions for easy loading, agitating, unloading and positioning.

Large polycarbonate pins located along the center shaft, working in conjunction with the bin’s special geometry, provide effective agitation to break up clumps of compost material, according to the manufacturer. Good Ideas says the large twist-top lid keeps the compost locked away from animals and children.

When locked in a horizontal position, the whole composter can be moved like a wheelbarrow.

The Windsor Composter has a 50-gallon capacity. For more details, visit the manufacturer’s website at www.goodideasinc.com.
