While Gravely has long been known for manufacturing two-wheel tractors, the new Pro-QXT Tractor the company introduced at GIE+Expo last week is a tad different from its predecessors.
The compact, walk-behind tractor accommodates multiple attachments. It’s designed for maintaining commercial, industrial and government facilities in urban environments.
The heavy-duty Pro-QXT, built for commercial use, has a clutched hydraulic system for easy starting in cold weather, integrated engine-fan debris cutter and trailer tie-downs. The design provides adequate clearance for maneuvering around trailers and curbs, Gravely says.
The manufacturer says “QXT” in the product’s name stands for “quick-attach.” One person can manage attachment changeover.
In addition, the Pro-QXT’s power steering and variable speed control enable the operator to change direction quickly.
Gravely says the machine is designed to transition through all seasons and conditions, from extreme hot to extreme cold, without the need to alter the tractor. Its Subaru engine with 12-volt electric start and recoil assist performs well in all weather, the company says.
Two attachments are available with the launch of the tractor: a 44-inch Power Brush and a 48-inch blade. The Power Brush attachment is made for all-season work and comes with a one-year limited warranty. The blade attachment is also available with an optional poly scraper edge. It, too, comes with a one-year limited warranty.
Gravely says additional attachments will be launched in 2016. The Pro-QXT is expected to be available at authorized Gravely dealers in January.
