What does it take to keep more than 300 acres of parking in East Windsor, Connecticut, clear of snow at all times? The world’s first 20-foot folding V-plow and 16 cubic yard snow basket.
When Southern Auto Auction contacted Henke Manufacturing to ask whether the company could provide some big, heavy-duty snowplows, Henke said yes.
Sixty days later, the manufacturer unveiled a snow basket – the Henke SB-16 – that’s 12 feet wide, 6 feet tall and 6 feet deep, holding 16 cubic yards. At the same time, the company introduced a 20-foot folding V-plow, the FB-20, which is two 10-foot plows connected with a 3-inch solid steel center pivot pin.
Henke Manufacturing designs and produces specialty snow-removal attachments that are mounted on both heavy industrial equipment and medium to heavy-duty trucks.
