Subaru Industrial Power Products has added five new companies to its distributor network in an effort to broaden access to its standalone engines and replacement parts in 13 states.

The five new distributors – Jerry Pate Turf & Irrigation, LL Johnson Distributing, RBI Corp., Total Energy Systems, and Golden Eagle Distributing – will offer both sales and service support for Subaru engines on a wide range of machines, including generators and outdoor power equipment.

A Subaru spokesman said the expanded distribution network should make it easier for landscaping contractors to find and purchase the engines and parts they need.

Jerry Pate Turf & Irrigation serves Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.

LL Johnson serves the Rocky Mountain and Midwestern states. RBI Corp. distributes outdoor power equipment in the Southeast and has warehouse locations in Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and Virginia. Total Energy Systems serves Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and North Dakota. And finally, Golden Eagle Distributing handles customers in California and Illinois.

Subaru Industrial Power Products lays claim to developing the industry’s first high performance chain-driven overhead cam (OHC) engine technology in the industrial air-cooled market.
