Miami-Dade County employee shares experience with propane equipment

The Propane Education & Research Council has launched a new set of customer testimonial videos as part of its “Straight Talk” video series.

This first video, embedded below, features Gil Delgado, sports turf and landscape division chief for Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department.

The county was looking for ways to be more efficient while meeting the demands of Florida’s year-round mowing season. After doing a study in 2008 comparing gas-powered and propane-powered units, it found that propane increased productivity and reduced fuel and maintenance costs.

Crews were able finish mowing faster thanks to full propane cylinders being able to do a day and half’s worth of work before needing to be refueled. Check out Delgado’s testimonial down below.
