Never Stop Giving

It always amazes me the lengths of which people will go to help out the environment, their community or even a neighbor.

One North Carolina-based landscaping company, Green Earth Landscaping, has launched Project Green Earth, which will turn recyclable trash into dollars for its local Habitat for Humanity.

“I noticed that several HOAs were producing a lot of recyclable trash around their pools, clubhouses and common areas,” Edward Dubisz, president of Green Earth Landscaping, told the South Charlotte News. “I thought a recycling program would be a great, no-additional-charge service I could offer to our customers. We’re on-site every week to maintain the properties, so it is convenient for us to pick up the recyclables.”

Green Earth Landscaping will pick up recyclable trash every week at HOAs in surrounding counties and then take those bins to a Waste Pro facility.

To be honest, this initiative blew me away.

Landscapers are extremely busy, and for one company to step outside of the box to start collecting boxes is a great feat.

Some companies in the industry are large enough to have branches, divisions and offices dedicated to completing community service.

For instance, on a larger scale, the Caterpillar Foundation recently donated $19.2 million to an organization.

Dubisz and his team are certainly not raising $19.2 million, but every little bit helps.

The Attachments Idea Book
Landscapers use a variety of attachments for doing everything from snow removal to jobsite cleanup, and regardless of how often they are used, every landscaper has a favorite attachment.
