Two Burglars Pretend to be Landscapers

PoliceA woman and man in Portland are accused of offering residential landscaping services to case homes to break into, reports The Oregonian.

Cops were called to a reported home burglary in progress. A neighbor said a suspicious woman knocked on his door asking if he wanted landscape work.

He said, “No,” and noticed the woman and a man she was with didn’t have any landscaping tools or equipment.

The neighbor watched the couple as they knocked on another person’s door and then walked around to the back of the home. Cops caught them walking out of the house and took them into custody.

The duo entered not guilty pleas and are being held at the detention center.
