Dutch equipment maker Tobroco Machines and Tobroco-Giant USA will be introducing compact wheel loaders and an electric mini skid steer next month, when the company will exhibit for the first time at CONEXPO-CON/AGG.
The construction equipment show, which is held every three years, is set for March 7-11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Based in the Netherlands, Tobroco Machines recently established Tobroco-Giant USA in Des Moines, Iowa, and it’s serving as the manufacturer’s distributor for GIANT compact wheel loaders.
In the next few years, Tobroco says, the company will be focused on recruiting dealers.
While “skid steers currently rule the market of compact loaders,” the company says, the small wheel loader is growing more popular every year, particularly among landscapers, who value its “surface-friendly” operation.
Among the machines Tobroco-Giant USA will introduce in Las Vegas is the GIANT E-skid steer. The fully electric machine is driven by hydraulic wheel-motors that are electrically powered by a Jungheinrich battery.
Another eye-catching option: the machine can be operated by remote control.
Tobroco says the GIANT E-skid is set for market distribution in the second half of 2017.
In a news release about its plans for next month’s tradeshow in Las Vegas, the company says it expects to build nearly 3,000 GIANT wheel loaders this year, with “a chunk” of that headed to American landscaping companies, construction companies and farmers.
Machines distributed through Tobroco-Giant USA are equipped with Kubota engines ranging from 25 to 60 horsepower.
Tobroco’s compact wheel loaders are offered in nine different sizes and configurations.
