XP HD models
Built for heavy-duty professional mowing, Altoz says the 2020 XP HD delivers all the horsepower and durability users will need to tackle the toughest mowing jobs.
In the XP HD lineup, Altoz introduced the XP 540 HD, the XP 610 HD, the XP 610 HDi, and XP 660 HD and the XP 720 HD.
Photo: AltozAltoz says these mowers feature three, V-twin cylinder, carbureted versions of the Kawasaki FX – the 852cc with 27 horsepower (XP 540 HD), 921cc with 31 horsepower (XP 610/660 HD) and the 35 horsepower, 999cc in the XP 720 HD. The company says that users looking for increased fuel-efficiency can turn to the XP 610 HDi with Kohler’s Command Pro engine boasting 824cc, 33 horsepower and Electronic Fuel-Injection.
The company says that XP engine performance is matched to highly efficient commercial Hydro-Gear hydrostatic transmissions, and the ZT-4400 can drive all XP models to a max forward speed of 11 mph.
Altoz says its exclusive finish cut Aero Deck is fabricated from .270″ steel and 5-inch deck depth, and the easy on/off accessibility to the operator’s platform is provided by an incorporated deck step with foot traction plate.
The mowers are available in four cutting widths, 54-inch (540 HD), 61-inch (610 HD/HDi), 66-inch (660 HD) and 72-in (720 HD), and rotational deck height adjustment changes cutting height in 1 ⁄4″ increments ranging from 1.5 to 5 inches with the turn of a dial. Altoz adds that the adjustability of anti-scalp wheels and baffles, in combination with a multitude of blade options, allow users to tune the Aero Deck for all seasons, varying conditions and grass types.
Altoz says the XP chassis provides an ultra-rigid platform centered on the Altoz C-channel frame, laser-cut and welded from heavy-gauge steel. The company says the low-profile front viewport provides the best sightlines for operators, and the angled steel front wheel forks with heavy-duty tapered caster bearings glide over the toughest terrain.
The company says that intuitive ergonomics make it easy to mow all day on an XP HD, and operator comfort starts with the 12-way adjustability of the high back suspension seat with incorporated armrests and the high-grade elastomers.
Altoz says the SmarTracPro control features a solid-state PTO switch, keyless push-to-start ignition switch and the patented SoftStart clutch control that decreases mechanical wear and increases deck belt life.
The company says other XP HD features include the rotational deck-height dial, 12-volt power outlet, device storage compartment, cup holder, stylized rear 12-inch steel rims with 24-inch tires, foldable ROPS and two 7-gallon side-mounted fuel tanks. Altoz adds that large-capacity collection systems for spring and fall clean-ups, striping kits and operator-controlled discharge covers are a few of the accessories offered for XP HD models.
XE models
With three models aimed for commercial cutters and municipalities, Altoz says the EX is a commercial-grade mower that can handle an expansive amount of acreage.

The company says the XE models are powered by a Kawasaki FS engine, bolstering 726cc, 90-degree V-twin cylinders and 24 horsepower. Altoz says XE engine performance is matched with commercial Hydro-Gear hydrostatic transmissions, and the ZT-3200 takes all XE models to a maximum forward speed of 9 mph and features an external oil filter.
Altoz says the staple of finish cut excellence lies in the Aero Deck, fabricated from .270″ steel and 4.5-inch deck depth. Available in two cutting widths – 54-inch (XE 540) and 61-inch (XE 610) – Altoz says the height settings are adjustable in 1 ⁄4″ increments ranging from 1.5 to 4.5 inches, while the anti-scalp wheels and fully adjustable baffles provide a commercial-grade cut every time.

Altoz says the XC models combine speed and precision for the ultimate high-performance wheeled zero-turn mower, and the XC is ideal for commercial cutters looking to make every second count.

Altoz says the dependability and smooth operation of the 610 Z are credited to the carbureted Kawasaki FX 921cc and 31 horsepower, and users looking for increased fuel-efficiency, horsepower, torque and cutting ability can turn to the larger XC 720 Zi with Vanguard’s 993cc, V-twin, EFI and 37 horsepower.
The company says XC engine performance is matched by the largest and most capable Hydro-Gear transmissions – the ZT-5400 with high- and low-range capability. Together, Altoz says they accelerate both XC models up to transport speeds of 19 mph and through the largest jobs quickly.

Rounding off the list comes the line of TRX models, which consists of the TRX 354, the TRX 561 and the TRX 766i.
These mowers are available in 54″ (TRX 354), 61″ (TRX 561) and 66″ (TRX 766i) finish cut widths and the TRX 766i has a 66-inch all-terrain deck option for rough cutting applications with six swing blades.

The company says the TRX will do more than a traditional wheeled-mower, maintaining acreage, hillsides, lowlands, orchards, groves or solar fields.
The company says the unmatched ride quality and smoothness of the TRX track system will be noticed immediately upon take-off. Altoz says that successfully reducing operator fatigue starts with the rear torsion axle suspension, complemented by an 11-inch wide turf- or all-terrain track.

Altoz says the major power found in a TRX 354 and 561 is provided by the Kawasaki’s FX-series engines. The company says the TRX 766i adds the convenience of electronic fuel injection with 37-horsepower provided by Vanguard’s big-block engine to lead the advanced debris management segment.
Altoz says TRX models feature styled high back suspension seats with armrests and 12-way adjustments, and flat-free front tires, a cup holder, carrying compartment and a folding ROPS system are standard fare.

The company adds that dual side-mounted fuel tanks provide a 10-gallon total capacity, and the 54-inch finish cut Aero Deck has height settings in 1 ⁄4″ increments ranging from 2.25 to 5 inches.
Altoz says the Independent Front Suspension (IFS) with double A-arms and adjustable coil springs over gas shocks is an accessory option for those looking for an even smoother ride.
With a choice of a 66-inch all-terrain or finish cut Aero Deck, Altoz says no other mower can match the capability of a TRX 766i. The company says the 993cc Vanguard EFI engine cranks out 37 horsepower and is backed by dual-range high/low ZT-5400 Hydro-Gear transmissions that reach a top speed of 10 mph.
