Wall pulls landscape together

Project: Private residence, Bettendorf, Iowa
Landscaper: The Green Thumbers Landscaping, Davenport, Iowa

This project was for a couple whose property was adjacent to a small lake and they wanted to make better use of the area. King’s Block supplied by Iowa-based King’s Materials was used to construct the retaining wall and planter beds. Sustainable plantings and an arbor make the addition look like it’s been there for years.

Price $17,000.


Flagstone, plantings provide rustic feel

Project: Private residence, Vancouver, Washington
Landscaper: Woody’s Custom Landscaping, Vancouver, Washington

This was a large job, including more than one acre of landscape installation. Features installed included two ponds, about 30,000 feet of sod, flagstone and paver patios, a large front wall, and all plantings. The large pond is 120 feet by 78 feet by 12 feet deep, including a 15-foot-wide waterfall with grotto underneath and a side stream.
