Scrapbook – March 2009

This project was commissioned to be a “jaw-dropper” per the homeowners’ request. Two substantial waterfalls were installed to provide the sound of falling water throughout the property. Arkansas field stone was used in the backyard to create the walls, steps and both water features. The entire project included a little more than 4,500 square feet of pavers, and circle patterns were used to enhance the outdoor fireplace and accommodate a drain for the largest patio.

Modernism was needed on this 3,000-square-foot new construction. Garden Works knew it would be a challenge, but the end result was a modern contemporary, sustainable showplace. Their in-house designers shared a vision with the homeowner. The front yard features a west coast woodland theme and the backyard was transformed into a tranquil retreat with a spectacular natural waterfall.
