XCU offers more weeks of green with fewer applications

Agrium Advanced Technologies’ new XCU slow-release fertilizer has the highest nitrogen (43 percent) and lowest sulfur content (4 percent) of any sulfur-coated urea (SCU) on the market, allowing landscapers to treat more area with less product to control costs. XCU’s polymer coating allows gradual, consistent nutrient release, so one application provides up to 10 weeks of green, healthy turf.

New steering option for ZTRs

Cub Cadet Commercial offers an innovative zero-turn steering option with its Synchro-Steer technology on the Tank S model. The new model features a traditional steering wheel rather than the two lap bars that have become the industry standard for ZTRs. This design translates to reduced training time for operators not experienced with lap bar steering. Other key features of the mower include 31- and 37-horsepower engine options, foldable ROPS, and several attachment options.

The mower is available in 36- and 48-inch cutting widths, and has cutting heights from 11/2 to 41/2 inches in /-inch increments.

Finn adds new machine to its line

Finn’s new Material Transfer System (MTS) has the ability to haul and discharge aggregates, soil, sand, mulch, and even palletized loads, and is a considerable back-saver for landscapers. The machine features a 15-cubic-yard, 11,200-pound capacity hopper constructed of lightweight aluminum resting on a sturdy steel trailer chassis. Depending on the material in the hopper, the MTS is light enough to be pulled by most 3/4-ton trucks.

The ZK has deck sizes of 52 or 61 inches and a cutting speed up to 14 miles per hour.
