Ferris walk-behind available in 36-inch cutting width
Ferris’ ComfortControl dual drive commercial walk-behind mower features the exclusive Torque Tuned Blade system, enabling the mower to be more compact, maneuverable and easy to use. Powered by a 15-horsepower Kawasaki V-twin engine, it has self-contained dual transmissions for improved performance and less downtime. The mower is also available in 48-, 52- and 61-inch cutting widths.
Hustler provides environmentally friendly option with electric ZTR
Hustler Turf Equipment introduces the Zeon, an all-electric riding ZTR mower. The Zeon’s 48-volt computer-controlled battery system composed of four deep-cycle lead acid batteries can quietly cut up to 80 minutes, or more than an acre of grass on one charge. In addition to saving on maintenance costs, one charge for the Zeon costs about 50 cents, versus about $5 for gasoline for the same amount of operating time.
XCU offers more weeks of green with fewer applications
Agrium Advanced Technologies’ new XCU slow-release fertilizer has the highest nitrogen (43 percent) and lowest sulfur content (4 percent) of any sulfur-coated urea (SCU) on the market, allowing landscapers to treat more area with less product to control costs. XCU’s polymer coating allows gradual, consistent nutrient release, so one application provides up to 10 weeks of green, healthy turf.
New steering option for ZTRs
Cub Cadet Commercial offers an innovative zero-turn steering option with its Synchro-Steer technology on the Tank S model. The new model features a traditional steering wheel rather than the two lap bars that have become the industry standard for ZTRs. This design translates to reduced training time for operators not experienced with lap bar steering. Other key features of the mower include 31- and 37-horsepower engine options, foldable ROPS, and several attachment options.
Snapper Pro introduces new compact ZTR
The S50x series zero-turn mower makes mowing in tight places easier. Powered by either a 26-horsepower Briggs & Stratton Extended Life Series engine or a 19-horsepower Kawasaki engine, the S50x has dual heavy-duty Hydro Gear ZT 2800 hydraulic transmissions that are self-contained to provide increased performance and less downtime. The mower is available in 36- and 48-inch cutting widths, and has cutting heights from 11/2 to 41/2 inches in /-inch increments.
Finn adds new machine to its line
Finn’s new Material Transfer System (MTS) has the ability to haul and discharge aggregates, soil, sand, mulch, and even palletized loads, and is a considerable back-saver for landscapers. The machine features a 15-cubic-yard, 11,200-pound capacity hopper constructed of lightweight aluminum resting on a sturdy steel trailer chassis. Depending on the material in the hopper, the MTS is light enough to be pulled by most 3/4-ton trucks.
Wright mower offers better balance
Wright Commercial Products’ Stander ZK mower includes features such as a low center of gravity, easy mount and dismount and short overall length for greater maneuverability in tight spaces. Additionally, it offers an operator suspension platform located directly over the rear axles to allow operators to execute quick turns with less effort. The ZK has deck sizes of 52 or 61 inches and a cutting speed up to 14 miles per hour.
Dump-Pro for light duty pickup trucks
Standard Hamilton Company introduces the compact Dump-Pro for pickups with 6-foot beds. Like the full-size version, the dump insert is lightweight (282 pounds) and features a steel-reinforced, industrial weight, non-rusting polyethylene dump body. The lighter weight and removable features save fuel. The compact Dump-Pro handles 1.1 cubic yards of material with the basic unit or 3 cubic yards with the Hi-Sides option.
Heavy-duty tractor series
The professional-grade 35 series four-wheel-drive tractors from Mahindra USA are designed for heavy-duty applications. The series includes two models – the 3535 and 4035. Both models are three-cylinder tractors with four-stroke, direct injection diesel engines. The 3535 has a lift capacity of 2,835 pounds, and the 4035 has a lift capacity of 3,090 pounds. Other features include ergonomic controls and pedals and reinforced metal fenders.
Lift easier without injury
EZY-Lift has seven new models that range in lift capacity from 1,000 to 2,000 pounds and are designed to fit all new pickup and service body trucks. The plug and play design allows the operator to install an EZY-Lift within three hours. The unit eliminates the need for manual lifting, saving time and decreasing back injuries. The hydraulic lifting system fits in a truck bed without reducing cargo space.
New sculpture release
The Brass Baron Fountains & Statuary has a new sculpture in its product line. Park Bench Girls is a life-size creation depicting two barefoot girls sitting on a traditional park bench looking at their sketchbook. Hand cast in bronze, the statue is over four feet wide and three feet high, with ornate detail seen in the girls’ hair and faces to the schoolbag and pencil case.
