Nemetschek North America released its third service pack for the Vectorworks 2009 product line. The service pack addresses several user origin shift problems, and improvements were made in other areas of the application like stairs, framing member objects, IFC export, referenced and sheet layer viewpoints and interactive drawing operations.
Mark Farnan, director of software development for Nemetschek, said users who have enabled the error reporting option on the Session pane of the Vectorworks Preferences dialog box allowed the company to identify and address stability issues more quickly. He credits users with keeping their engineers on top of service issues.
Service Pack 3 is currently only available for professional licenses as a downloadable updater. To install the pack, go to the About Vectorworks dialog box in the Vectorworks 2009 application and click Check for Updates.
