RSC Equipment Rental floods in Nashville, Tennessee

Updated Feb 20, 2013

Due to a massive flash flood in the Nashville Metro Area last weekend, the Nashville RSC Equipment Rental store was overtaken by water. The store is located two blocks from the Cumberland River.

No preventative measures were arranged prior to the flood. Forecasters predicted a light rain, but by mid-day people were ordered to stay off the roads. RSC employees waited for conditions to improve before entering the field Monday morning.

There are currently three Nashville Metro RSC branches (Mount Juliet, Murfreesboro and Franklin, Tennessee), and employees from the flooded branch are temporarily working from these locations to quickly respond to customers with active rentals who may have been affected by the damage.

Director of Operations of the Nashville RSC Equipment Rental, Ray Bradley, is currently in charge of the relief efforts. He said he has no regrets concerning his team’s response to the situation.

“We heeded all EMS directives to stay off roads during the event. I believe we did everything in our power during this natural disaster. As a result, we avoided placing any of our employees in harms way,” Bradley said.
