Kirk equipment merges with other John Deere dealerships

Updated Feb 20, 2013

Seven family-owned John Deere dealerships in Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri have merged their operations to form Legacy Equipment, LLC.

Chief executive officer and president Kody Riggan said this creates a stronger company that will be able to serve its customers better. He hopes the stores will be able to share inventories, expertise and service and be able to respond to customer’s needs quickly and efficiently. He also said Legacy can offer better selections of new and used equipment.

Under the terms of the agreement, Legacy will combine assets, management and daily operations for all locations. When the consolidation is complete, Legacy will provide equipment, parts and service to three counties in Northeast Arkansas and six counties in Southeast Missouri, which totals more than 1.5 million acres of production farmland.
