Husqvarna’s solar-powered lawnmower looks like it’s from the future, but they released it this year. Its official name is the Automower solar hybrid, and it is the world’s first fully automatic lawn mower that is partly powered by the sun.
This robotic lawnmower uses considerably less energy than any conventional mower because in addition to a charging station, it comes with a large integrated solar panel. When there is daylight available, the solar cells enable the mower to extend its cutting periods before it needs recharging.
The $3,000 lawnmower cuts a lawn in a shorter time, consumes less power and has an extended battery life. Husqvarna’s Automower solar hybrid is suitable for lawns up to 0.5 acres, depending on light conditions.
