Pink zero-turn mower benefits breast cancer research

Updated Feb 20, 2013

Gravely’s pink Pro-Turn zero-turn mower, “Pinky,” is helping raise money for the breast cancer foundation. From now through October 23, 2010, consumers are encouraged to buy $10 raffle tickets as the mower travels to Georgia dealers, fairs, trade shows and other locations. One winner will win Pinky at the conclusion of the fundraiser.

Pinky was built at the request of Ariens District Manager Dave Bowker, with a goal to raise $10,000. Bowker and his team are using the mower to raise money with all proceeds benefitting breast cancer research, and to help women enduring financial hardship due to the disease.

Raffle tickets and donations from dealers are accepted through Oct. 23, 2010, and the winner will be announced shortly after. The fundraiser began in February 2010, and Bowker and his team are almost halfway to reaching their goal of $10,000.
