Ariens initiated a Recall Alert with the Consumer Products Safety Commission for 1,040 Sno-Thro machines because of a safety hazard. No incidents of failure or injury have been reported, according to the company. To date, 619 units have been repaired.
Customers with a Sno-Thro that meets the following criteria can contact Ariens to determine if the unit has been repaired:

Serial Number Range: From 000101 to 001229
Date of Sale: October 2009 through January 2010
