The Belden Brick Company is the first manufacturer of brick products to receive ISO 14001 Certification, the company says. The certification is given to businesses that show environmental responsibility through compliance with government regulations.
The entire process took about a year once Belden Brick decided to pursue ISO 14001 Certification. A team of third party auditors came to the company in March, and the company received official notification that they had received certification on May 6.
The certification lasts for three years, and yearly follow-up audits will keep the company operations alert as they work to maintain certification, the company says.
