Stihl reopens after Hurricane Irene hits plant

Updated Feb 19, 2013

Stihl resumed normal operations at their Virginia Beach plant today. The plant temporarily suspended operations due to Hurricane Irene’s approach to the area.

The plant was examined and cleared for all employees to return to their jobs.

“We have some cleanup to do like most other business residents of Virginia Beach, but we were fortunate and will resume our manufacturing and normal business operations,” says Roger Phelps, a Stihl spokeman.
