Wounded Warrior Surprised with ZTR Mower

Updated Apr 10, 2013

Untitled2Sergeant Jordan Brown faithfully served our country for seven years.

During his second tour in Iraq, Jordan broke his left arm. He later learned that cancer was the underlying cause of the break. The cancer is gone now, along with his left arm.

Jordan, his wife Monica and their two daughters now live on a small farm in southern Iowa. Mowing the 2 acre farm lawn would normally be Jordan’s responsibility – but Monica did this last year with an 18-inch hand-push mower.

Jordan has been working with Operation First Response to help other wounded veterans. Following an interview at Des Moines radio station KGGO for this cause, Jordan was surprised with his very own joystick-controlled ZTR riding lawn mower, donated by Country Clipper.

Country Clipper designs and builds zero turn mowers with unique features, including joystick steering.

“We knew this would work so well for him”, states Carl Shivvers, president. Country Clipper’s joystick steering was designed for easy one hand zero-turning control and proved to be a great fit for this American hero – who promptly displayed his skills by zipping around the KGGO parking lot.
