Updated Jul 14, 2013

habitat_logo_3Thanks to two foundations, two families will be living side by side in Habitat for Humanity homes.

The Moline Foundation and the John Deere Foundation helped bring two families together in Moline, Illinois, according to the Quad-City Times.

The families will invest 250 labor hours required by Habitat to help build the homes.

Several past recipients of Habitat homes helped with the groundbreaking ceremony that took place.

Moline’s Foundation will bestow the 83rd Habitat house with the first Karen and Tom Getz Award for Excellence.

The other family will move into Habitat home 82 courtesy of the John Deere Foundation.
