One New Hampshire landscaper is getting some extra recognition after saving the life of a 3-year-old boy.

According to CBS Boston, the landscaper, Matt Pulomena, saved the 3 year old who nearly drowned in a pool on Wednesday.

It was after working about three hours on a jobsite that Pulomena heard a splash and a woman screaming for help.

Pulomena ran over, grabbed the child and immediately started performing CPR.

His response time and training came from two years of a live-in training program at the Belmont, New Hampshire Fire Department in school.

The child was transported to a local hospital and is said to be in serious condition.
