Since its beginning in 2006, the company now offers 2,500 LED products. The LED lighting business is expected to account for a quarter of the global lighting market, according to NPD Display Search.
NPD Display Search predicts that LED applications will double in 2013 going from 16 million units in 2012 to 33 million in 2013. The company also foresees the market tripling by 2016 to more than 90 million units.
The 2013 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2009 to 2012.
Companies had to be founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2009. The companies also had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit and independent. The minimum revenue to qualify for 2009 is $100,000 and the minimum for 2012 is $2 million.
