Case Intros Tier 4 Final TR270 CTL

CASE TR270 Compact Track LoaderCase Construction Equipment introduced the Tier 4 Final TR270 Alpha Series compact track loader at GIE+EXPO last week in Louisville, Kentucky. (Watch a walk-around video of this machine below.)

The CTL is an updated 74-horsepower model that increases bucket breakout force (7,270 pounds), torque (232 foot-pounds) and hydraulic flow (standard: 24.2 gallons-per-minute; high-flow: 32.4 gpm) compared to the previous model. Ideal for landscaping and residential construction due to its light weight (8,200 pounds), low ground pressure, narrow design (less than 66 inches) and attachment versatility, the TR270 weighs in at 8,270 pounds with a rated operating capacity of 2,700 pounds.

The TR270 features a cooled exhaust gas recirculation (CEGR) engine with a particulate matter catalyst, which is made up of a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and a high-efficiency flow-through filter. The DOC converts emissions into neutral gasses. The remaining particulate matter then passes through to the high-efficiency flow-through filter where it is stored and burned off through passive regeneration powered by the heat of the exhaust gas.
