PLANET, the Professional Landcare Network, has named a new president for its 2014-15 board of directors.
Jim McCutcheon, Landscape Industry Certified, officially took office on May 1.
McCutcheon is the CEO of HighGrove Partners in Austell, Georgia specializing in commercial landscape maintenance and design.
McCutcheon brings more than 25 years experience in all facets of landscape design, installation, maintenance and water management.
“I am honored and humbled to serve as PLANET’s president,” McCutcheon says. My membership and involvement in PLANET has been one of the key aspects of the success of HighGrove. We have a very good association that is doing remarkable work to help our industry.”
McCutcheon received his bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Georgia and began his career with Post Properties as a landscape designer.
McCutcheon has been an active member of PLANET for several years and has made an impact on the industry by serving on the board of directors as well as on many committees, such as the chairman of the Crystal Ball and Student Career Days subcommittees; earning the respected designation of PLANET Trailblazer; as well as, most recently serving as the president of the PLANET Academic Excellence Foundation (PLANET AEF).
