To keep up with the demanding conditions on jobsites, Ditch Witch has made a variety of upgrades to its RT45 ride-on trencher.
Other upgrades include color-coded controls, an ergonomic operator’s station, and a pedal that controls the variable ground drive forward and reverse.
The trencher is equipped with an operators presence system that stops the engine when the operator leaves the seat.
Additionally, the machine’s exhaust system is mounted under a composite hood with a horizontal exhaust pipe that diverts noise and hot air away from the operator.
As for maintenance, the RT45’s engine service points are located on one side of the machine, and the trencher comes standard with an air-filtration system.
The trencher can handle a variety of attachments, including a trencher, backhoe, earth saw, vibratory plow, microtrencher and combination trencher/plow. To help power the attachment, the machine is equipped with a direct-coupled, high-torque digging chain motor.
