Bobcat’s S450 Skid Steer, T450 CTL Designed to Work on Tight Jobsites

S450S450

Adding to its M-Series lineup, Bobcat has released the S450 skid steer and T450 compact track loader.

Less than 5 feet wide, the S450 is designed to work on tight jobsites.

There is a 20 percent increase in auxiliary hydraulic pressure, as well as a non-diesel particulate filter engine.

The 49-horsepower machine replaces the K-Series S130 skid steer.

Featuring a radius-lift path, the S450 has an optional two-speed drive with a top speed of 6.5 mph in low range and 9.2 mph in high range when equipped with optional Selectable Joystick Controls.

The 1.8-liter engine in the S450 features a non-DPF engine solution. In addition to eliminating the need for a DPF, the new engine used in the S450 loader has increased torque. This increase in torque is produced over a wide range of engine rpm.

The machine’s system monitors coolant and oil temperatures and managed the engine to prevent them from reaching a point where the machine must be shut down.

Air conditioning is now an available option for the S450, as well as the optional deluxe instrumentation panel, which monitors loader functions, including fuel consumption and keyless start.

T450T450

S450 owners may choose between standard foot pedal and hand lever hydraulic controls, the Advanced Control System or the Selectable Joystick Controls.

The hydraulic performance on the M-Series has a 3,300 psi, which provides a 22 percent increase in attachment performance.

The S450 also features a long-life hydraulic filter that lasts up to 1,000 hours — 500 hours longer than the S130.

A specifically designed rear bumper on the S450 extends past the tailgate to protect it from obstacles.

Also joining the lineup is the T450 compact track loader.

With a width of 56 inches when paired with a bucket, the T450 is also designed to work in tight spots.

The machine’s rubber track undercarriage is 4.7 pounds per square inch.

Featuring a radius-lift path, the machine has an optional enclosed cab with heat and air conditioning.

Also available is a two-speed drive system with a maximum speed of 7.3 mph in low range and 11 mph in high range.

The 2.4-liter Bobcat engine in the T450 features a non-diesel particulate filter engine solution. The T450 also has a system that monitors the coolant and oil temperatures to prevent the machine from being shut down.

Additionally, the machine has a 3,300 psi rating and has a 61 horsepower, which is a 25 percent increase over the loader it replaces.

The optional deluxe instrumentation panel is available for this machine, and T450 owners may choose between standard foot pedal and hand lever controls, the Advanced Control System or the optional Selectable Joystick Controls.
