Morbark’s ChipSafe Operator Safety Shield is now available for two of its smaller Beever brush chippers, the M6R and M8D.
The M6R and M8D are 6- to 12-inch capacity brush chippers. There’s a retrofit field kit for current model chippers with 6 to 18-inch capacity also available.
This system includes mounted plates on the sides of the infeed chute that use special work gloves and ankle/wrist straps that stop the machine if the hands or feet are in the sensing zone.
Swiping the glove or strap across a reset box restarts the machine.
