When contractors visit General Rentals in Evansville, Indiana, one piece of equipment is bound to catch their eye: The business’ new Terex R190T compact track loader with one-of-a-kind pin striping and a custom paint job by Joey Hutson Artistry of West Monroe, Louisiana.
Steven and Pete Powell, owners of General Rentals, bought the loader because they were impressed by the power and capacity available in a lightweight, compact unit. Artists Joey and Robin Hutson gave this particular R190T its unique paint scheme at the Terex booth during The Rental Show 2015, held earlier this year in New Orleans.
“We specialize in renting smaller, compact equipment that can be towed behind a pickup truck without special permits or trailers,” says Steven Powell. “We have been longtime customers of Terex, first owning an ASV compact track loader many years ago to today, owning a PT-50 compact track loader and now adding this new R190T compact track loader to our fleet. Our customers, who are site developers, homebuilders and landscapers, appreciate Terex rubber-tracked compact track loaders’ high flotation and quick cycle times to get in and out of jobsites that rubber-tired units just can’t tackle.”
The 60-horsepower R190T compact track loader is equipped with Terex’s patented “Posi-Track” suspended undercarriage technology, which the company says maximizes traction and flotation while giving operators the most comfortable ride possible.
General Rentals offers its attention-getting unit with standard bucket, forks or a Harley power-box rake attachment. Since taking delivery of the R190T loader, General’s owners say they’ve rented it out a couple of times. “The distinctive paint scheme on this unit really catches our customers’ attention,” says Steven Powell. “This loader is going to be a popular rental unit in our fleet.”
