Four years after opening its North American operations, Avant Tecno USA decided to honor its dealers by sending them to “The Land of the Midnight Sun” in Finland, where Avant’s global headquarters is located.
The trip coincided with Avant’s North American and international dealer meetings as well as the manufacturer’s 25th anniversary celebration.
Avant North America typically holds its annual dealer meeting in the United States, but company officials say they wanted to do something different this year. They sent all of their dealers to see Avant Finland’s 27-acre operation.
The headquarters operation encompasses research and development, direct product development, robotics, manufacturing, painting, assembly, warehouses, offices and showroom.
Equally important to dealers’ seeing the operation, an Avant spokesperson said, the company wanted them to hear Avant’s philosophy direct from the family owners and “experience the passion of hundreds of committed employees” building the compact loaders.
The four-day trip wrapped up on July 3. Avant Tecno USA dealers sell both the company’s compact articulated loaders as well as attachments for the machines.
