Held in conjunction with the 2016 Irrigation Show and Education Conference, the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association (ARCSA) Conference will play host to the following workshops at the Pipe Trades Training Center, 750 Legion Way, in Las Vegas:
Accredited Professional Workshop
Dec. 8-9, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This two-day workshop is an in-depth rainwater harvesting course required for those seeking ARCSA accredited professional status. This course provides attendees with knowledge for rainwater harvesting, both active and passive, design for both outdoor and in-home rainwater use, sanitation for potable uses, rules and regulations, guidelines, business management, project planning, site planning and installation, safety, system construction and maintenance.
Design and Construction Workshop
Dec. 10-11, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Design and Construction Workshop is a requirement for the rainwater harvesting master designation or inspection specialist designation. Individuals seeking the accredited professional designation are also encouraged to attend, but it is not a requirement. The workshop is open to all individuals interested in improving their design and construction skills. The two-day, hands-on workshop will assist designers and construction workers in installing safe, effective and efficient rainwater collection systems that meet the goals and needs of the client. Instruction is mostly in the field, with minimal classroom time.
Inspection Specialist Workshop
Dec. 12, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This is an advanced rainwater harvesting specialized course open to the public or any industry professional. This workshop is designed to give participants the tools needed to make rainwater harvesting system inspections. Participants will review parts of a rainwater harvesting system, study how to develop an initial assessment of the system, and fill out an inspection checklist while making the initial visual inspection of a system and making follow-up inspections.
