Work and play don’t often mix, but landscapers interested in the National Association of Landscape Professionals’ Leaders Forum will be able to discuss 2017 trends while enjoying the tropical getaway of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

NALP is offering early registration discounts until Dec. 12, so there is still time to save money.

The Leaders Forum will be held Jan. 12-14 at Frenchman’s Reef & Morningstar Marriott Beach Resort.

Consumer trends expert Daniel Levine will be leading participants in a discovery session about important trends in the industry and how to create profitable offerings based on these trends.

Attendees will learn about the changing workforce and consumers’ wants and needs and how to attract the best customers and employees.

NALP has also lined up an informal discussion featuring prominent CEOs in the industry, including Steve Pattie, Jim McCutcheon, Mike Bogan and Dan Foley, who will talk about the challenges involved in managing their businesses as well as reserving time and attention for their personal lives.

Aside from the educational opportunities, landscapers attending will also have a choice of several ticketed events in which they can take advantage of the island’s entertainment options, including a kayaking eco-tour, deep sea fishing, and a tour of the island.

Early registration for NALP and National Hispanic Landscape Alliance members is $799. After Dec. 12, the registration fee increases to $899. Nonmembers’ early registration costs $1,599 and regular registration costs $1,699.
