One photo on Facebook caught my attention recently.
The Weed Man Lawn Care in Minneapolis, Minnesota posted a photo of snowplow damage in one community.
It shows where a snowplow severely damaged the turf near a curb, which seems to be a continuing problem.
If proper care is not taken, clients might be left feeling frustrated and annoyed with ruined lawns time and time again.
How would you fix this problem?
The company gave this solution:
It is important to repair damaged areas as soon as possible. Left unattended, broad-leaf weeds and other invasive grasses will move in making recovery for turf more difficult. To help in recovery:
- Flush the soil with water
- Apply topsoil to the area
- Seed with hardy turf seed
- Water frequently
Place tall flexible steaks around border areas in the fall. This will help plowing crews identify the curb and prevent damaging your lawn in the future.
