Skid Steer Solutions and its sister company, Eterra Attachments, have introduced their new Raptor RT-20 Boom Mower Attachment System, claiming it effectively eliminates the need for an $80,000 mower system.

Although designed with roadside work in mind, the company says the Raptor Boom Mower proved to be just the right machine for maintaining fence lines, clearing ditches and many other brush-removal applications.

The attachment features 180-degree, full angle rotation, enabling the skid steer operator to move seamlessly from one task to the next.

The Raptor RT-20 provides between 10 and 22 feet of reach from the centerline of the machine. Because reach is limited by positioning, an operator can maximize reach with a 9-foot Eterra Sickle Bar only when the machine is as close as possible to the worksite.

Eterra says safety was as a top priority in the design. Further, the hydraulic rotary actuator acts as a break away to protect the boom arm and mower head from damage in case of any contact, the company says, and the advanced hose routing protects the hydraulic circuits.
