Kubota Tractor Corp. introduced four new sub-compact tractors this week. The all-new BX80-Series includes the following models: BX1880, BX2380, BX2680 and BX23S.
The new machines make it easy to attach a complete line of tools and implements, Kubota says. The LA344 Swift-Tach loader, offered for the BX1880, BX2380 and BX2680, and the LA340 Swift-Tach loader for the BX23S, can be removed or attached without leaving the operator station.
Kubota says the BX23S leads the sub-compact tractor class with a standard-equipped front loader and backhoe unit.
“Kubota is the market leader in the sub-compact industry since we pioneered the category in 2000 with the introduction of our original BX-Series,” said Robert Cockroft, the manufacturer’s sub-compact and compact tractor product manager. “We’ve taken this experience and existing customer feedback to enhance performance and ease-of-use” in all four models in the new series.
Kubota says all four tractors in the BX80 Series are four-wheel drive machines with excellent traction.
All are powered by 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled Kubota diesel engines, with the BX1880, BX2380 and BX2680 delivering 18-, 23-, and 25.5-horsepower, respectively. The BX23S is equipped with a 23-horsepower engine and superior torque, the company says.
Operators can use the single lever hydraulic disconnect on the LA340 and LA344 Swift-Tach Loader to disconnect all four hydraulic lines at once. Kubota Swift-Tach Loader features a no-leak grease fitting, with a grease cap that prevents grease from leaking out of the side of the pin.
Options on the LA344S and the LA3340S Swift-Tach Loader include a two-lever quick couple, as well as third-function hydraulics, making the front loader even more versatile, Kubota says.
A new 4-point front hitch enables accessories such as blades, brooms and snowblowers to be used. A complete line of rear-mounted Land Pride implements, including rear snowblowers, can be attached with a standard Category I 3-point hitch.
All four BX80 tractors include an easy-attach mid-mount mower, available with fine cut or standard cut deck.
Kubota says the all-new BT603 Swift-Connect Backhoe on the BX23S is easy to remove without tools, and with no pins to store or lose.
All BX80-Series loaders and the BT603 backhoe include upgraded flat-faced couplers that do not seep fluid when released or installed, and are easy to connect, even under pressure. For increased safety, a boom lock-out is standard on the BT603.
A 16-inch bucket and a mechanical thumb for picking up items such as logs are optional on the new BX23S.
