Tobroco, a company based in the Netherlands, is establishing operations in Des Moines, Iowa, as Tobroco-Giant USA. The company already distributes parts and offers dealer sales support and training from the location.
While branded as “GIANT,” Tobroco’s product lineup is comprised of compact machines and mini skid steers, telescopic loaders and telehandlers. Tobroco-Giant USA will be on hand for GIE+EXPO Oct. 19-21 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. (Oct. 19 is “Dealer Day” and the trade show is open to all Oct. 20-21.) The company also manufactures a variety of attachments.
Tobroco-Giant USA says it will bring a wide range of machinery to GIE+EXPO, where it will have both an indoor booth and outdoor demonstration area.
Tobroco says its loaders are designed for high productivity and the variety of attachments makes them not only versatile but also suitable for most jobsites.
Tobroco-Giant USA will sell a total of 11 different models, many of which will be displayed at this month’s trade show.
The company stresses that it can offer customized solutions to customers with special requirements. For example, the tree care industry has already been provided a special type of GIANT’s D254SW model, according to a news release on the company’s U.S. plans.
“The machines are designed and built by Tobroco-Giant with a team of 200 enthusiastic employees in a modern factory in the Netherlands,” the company’s statement said.
Among the machines on display at GIE+EXPO will be Tobroco’s new SK251D, a wheeled mini skid steer with a 25-horsepower Kubota engine and four hydraulic wheel motors.
The company says its skid steer loaders require little maintenance, weigh less than 1,800 pounds and boast a high tractive force and tipping load.
For activities that demand a high reach, a telescopic loader (V6004T Tele) will be on display. This machine is the largest telescopic loader available and powered by a 60-horsepower Kubota engine. It’s driven by a hydrostatic 4-wheel drive with automotive control and 14-ton axles with planetary end drive, giving the machine a top speed of 17.5 miles per hour. Lift heights up to 170 inches, or about 14 feet, can be reached to perform a wide range of activities, Tobroco says.
The company says the five machines at its outdoor demo area, along with a number of attachments, will give landscape professionals ample opportunity to see GIANT equipment perform.
