This year’s GIE+EXPO gave companies that chance to show off the latest and greatest additions to their equipment lines, and one popular category shown were new blowers.

WORX
WORX says customers have been vying for the 3-in-1 Trivac blower/mulcher/vac, which the company says has been redesigned with a patented articulating motor that allows one-touch, tool-free conversion from blower to vacuum.
Photo: WORXWORX says all blowing, mulching and vacuuming applications are completed using a single tube, and converting from blower to mulcher/vac is a matter of turning a switch and connecting the 1.2 bushel collection bag.
WORX says the wide-mouth, unobstructed circular tube design makes it ideal for vacuuming leaves and other yard debris throughout the property, and it features two speeds with a maximum of 600 cfm. At low speed, WORX says the blower’s sweeping action is ideal for sidewalks, driveways, patios and decks, while high speed drives movement of large volumes of leaves.
WORX says the 12-amp blower/mulcher/vac has a single-stage metal impeller to shred leaves and twigs to a 16:1 ratio, and it weighs 8.8 lbs. in blower mode and 9.5 lbs. in vac mode due to weight of collection bag.

Photo: EgoThe company says landscapers can choose between using the BAX1501 backpack battery or the Power+ backpack link when running their commercial equipment.
The backpack battery can power equipment up to seven continuous hours. Recharging the backpack only takes 3.5 hours and it weighs 20 pounds. The MSRP for the backpack battery with the harness is $1,299.99.
Meanwhile, the backpack link allows the user to put the weight of any Ego battery on their back rather than in the tool to help reduce fatigue. Its MSRP is $179.99

With battery power becoming more prevalent in the industry, Husqvarna is continuing to expand its portfolio of battery-operated products.
The 550iBTX backpack blower is built like a traditional gas-powered blower, with the nozzle and handle attached to the backpack, rather than being a handheld version that plugs into a battery pack.
It has a blow force of 21 Newtons while still being able to work in noise restriction areas. The blower is IPX4 weatherproof and has a continuous boost mode and cruise control. It also features a keypad that displays the battery status and running mode on the handle.
The 550iBTX has an MSRP of $449.99.

Weighing in at only 7.3 pounds, the BLH120VX has a max air speed of 166 mph, an air volume of 529 cfm and a sound rating of 56 dB(A) max.
The company says the blower also comes equipped with a stealth mode button that acts similarly to the Eco mode button found in many vehicles today, as it will lower the power and extend run time while not sacrificing work quality. The blower has a run time of up to 90 minutes when using the stealth mode.
Oregon says this blower is a true high-performance handheld blower that makes landscaping maintenance clean up a breeze in any weather with Oregon’s IP56 ingress protection rating and a full 18.5N of blowing force.

Another addition to Stihl’s professional line of battery-powered equipment is the BGA 200. This model is the most powerful handheld blower in Stihl’s battery line, and it has a max blowing force of 21 Newtons in boost mode and has four different power levels.
This model is low noise with a sound pressure rating of 59 dB(A) and is lightweight as well, weighing only 6.8 pounds. When paired with the AR 3000 L backpack battery, the BGA 200 can run up to 536 minutes on setting one and 85 minutes in boost mode.
The blower unit has an MSRP of $399.95.
