Keeping this outdoor room from going for a swim. Overlooking the Des Plaines and Kankakee rivers, this refreshing pool and patio rests on a bluff 60 feet above the water line. But before being transformed into a breathtaking outdoor room, the backyard needed some added support – a $45,000 structural wall – to keep the landscape from sliding down the steep hillside.
