Landscaper Opens Center to Help Kids

Updated May 10, 2013

The spring and summer months are always the busiest time for landscaping companies.

However, one Colorado landscaper is donating his extra time and effort to help kids on the side.

Adam Plascencia and his wife, Judy, have started an Ultimate Warrior Boxing & Fitness center to help kids stay out of the streets, according to an article from The Tribune. The Plascencias will be running the center on the side of their 8-year-old landscaping business.

The Plascencias are not the only ones who have been donating their time. Landscapers across the country have also been donating their time and skill into a variety of service-related projects.

Total Landscape Care recently held a Planting for the Future contest where we asked landscapers, schools, organizations and businesses to take photos of service projects they were involved in for Earth Day and Arbor Day.

All of the photos that were submitted are now in a new gallery on our website.
