Even with the snowy season a few months off, SnowEx is helping landscapers prepare for the fight against ice.
SnowEx has introduced SuperMaxx II spreader for ice management and is available with 3.3- and 4.3- and 6-cubic-yard capacities.
The machine features pre-wetting integration and optimal weight distribution, as well as a material feed system with a stainless-steel trough.
The salt and brine are mixed in the trough where it is delivered through the 12-inch stainless-steel spinner with adjustable cups. The spreader has a variable spread width up to 40 feet.
Featuring cab-forward hoppers, the spreaders have up to 33 percent better payload distribution.
The machine’s hoppers are made from lightweight, corrosion-resistant polyethylene and feature multi-angle design to create a continuous flow of material.
The inverted “V” baffle and attached vibrator help reduce clumping materials like 100-percent salt or 100-percent sand.
The spreaders are electric-powered with a 12-volt, ¾-horsepower auger motor and 1.6-horsepower motor.
A controller includes a digital readout and dials for adjusting the variable speed spinner and auger. It can also control the pre-wetting system by toggling the system to automatically adjust to the flow of brine according to the spreader’s material feed rate.
